My Amal career prep fellowship journey.

Amal is the kickstart that I needed for my professional growth. My journey of Amal fellowship has completely changed my mindset and approach towards things. I interacted with a lot of productive and talented people here. We had a lot of fun in our circles and learning groups too. I connected with them on different levels.

The thing I realised and enjoyed in my fellowship was that everyone in our batch is really cooperative and motivating. I learned a lot of things here and one of them was that if you want to grow and achieve something, you must have come out of your comfort zone and practically we did that in our projects. Secondly I learned how to communicate in your professional circle and the advantages of going the extra mile.

By connecting with Amal faculty and my fellows I learned how you can stay productive most of the time, what can be the smart ways to tackle your life problems, how can I meet my goals by using the techniques that I learned from online courses, the art of appreciating others, self reflection, and many more interesting stuff.

My fellows and other group members were really cooperative throughout the fellowship. When I had to go somewhere for work they postponed the meeting for me and also helped me in completing the project work. If I get some issue related to my career I can easily take guidance from my project circle as some have more experience than me and work in industry. They give me good advice and come up with sound solutions. I reached out to some fellows for guidance on the selection procedure as we were applying in the same organisations and they responded very well despite their busy schedule. We have a very friendly environment in our group chats too. If someone in our batch gets stuck on something then he/she posts the issue in group chat and receives the precise solutions of the problem. Everyone does their best to come up with solutions and try to resolve the issues.

I also made a network and connections during the fellowship. I feel blessed and honoured to be a part of this organisation who made me get out of my comfort zone, taught me principles of growth mindset, and made the way to achieve my goals.
